Hayward Harris, 72, Adair County, KY (1949-2021)

Hayward Harris, 72, of Columbia, KY died Friday, June 11, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born on April 4, 1949 to the late Haywood and Cora Farley Harris.

Mr. Harris was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, helping others in need and spending time with his family and friends.



Survivors include three daughters Kristian Harris (Tony Gibson) of Tompkinsville, KY, Megen Harris Harden (Mylez Payton Goodman) of Cleveland, TN and Cori Harris of Cleveland, TN; two nieces and a nephew that he raised as his children Makayla Harrison (Joey Mann), Kelcie Wendry and Jared Harrison; three sisters Betty Rice of Carrollton, KY, Irene Curtis and Mildred "Pearl" Holliman both of Columbia; seventeen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings Loretta Patterson, Ronnie Harris, Kermit Harris and Carlos Harris.

Mr. Harris chose cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
