Nadean Popplewell Wilson, 82, Russell Springs, KY (1938-2021) Nadean Popplewell Wilson passed away peacefully at her home in the Font Hill Community of Russell Springs on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was 82 years old. Funeral services are scheduled for 10amCT on Monday, June 7, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Shawn Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pmCT to 8pmCT on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home. Nadean was born June 23, 1938, in Sunshine, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Farris and Zilma McQueary Popplewell. Nadean was a lady of many talents. She loved to quilt and paint, and was a wonderful cook. Nadean was a member of Mt. Eden Missionary Baptist Church. She was lovingly known as "Mamaw" to all her family and friends that will dearly miss her. Survivors include her son, Joseph (and Kimberly) Wilson of Russell Springs; her daughter, Connie (and Russell) Duke, of Russell Springs; three brothers, Tommy Popplewell, Ola Popplewell, and Roy Popplewell, all of Russell Springs; one sister, Meridth Hopper, of Russell Springs; two grandchildren, Ellie Anne Rooks (and Bobby) Flanagan and Isaac Jordan (and Taylor) Wilson, both of Russell Springs; and six great-grandchildren, Noah Christopher Flanagan, Julien Tate Flanagan, Remy Lincoln Flanagan, Emalynn Jane Flanagan, Alexis Marie Wilson, and Miles Jordon Wilson. In addition to her parents, Nadean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Leonard Dewey Wilson, who passed away on August 27, 2018; three brothers; and a great-grandson, Leonard Gregory Wilson.
