MacDonald to serve as swim Graduate Assistant By Christopher Coombs Lindsey Wilson swimming head coach Alicia Kemnitz announced the addition of Jessica MacDonald to the coaching staff for the upcoming 2021-22 season. MacDonald will serve as the program's graduate assistant for the next two seasons. She is a former Lindsey Wilson swimmer and is the most decorated student-athlete in the program's history. "I feel very lucky that Jess has decided to continue her education at LWC. Not only is Jess the most decorated swimmer, male or female, in LWC history, she also established herself as one of the best and most respected swimmers in the NAIA during her 4-year tenure," Kemnitz said. "She and her family have a rich history in our sport, and their involvement with LWC swimming has truly helped launch our program internationally, especially in South Africa." MacDonald earned 27 NAIA All-American honors throughout her four seasons with the Lindsey Wilson swimming program as well as setting numerous program records and numerous academic honors. "Jess will take over the role of recruiting coordinator as well as the team's LIVE5/Champions of Character Initiative, and team fundraising," Kemnitz said. "Most of all, I look forward to the feedback, advice, and expert analysis she will be providing not only our swimmers but me as a head coach." "Jess still has a lot to give to our sport, and I'm excited to see what accolades she'll add to her resume as a coach." This story was posted on 2021-06-02 12:46:13
