Who needs google when you have Jennell?

By Tiffany Stephens

Hi! My grandma recently purchased a laptop to "google" things. I wondered why, because she knows how to do everything. I mean, I call her if I need to know anything. So that made me giggle.

Come to find out, she mostly just gets on Columbia Magazine to see all the local news and obituaries. Numerous times a day. After Easter, she asked me to come look her laptop, showing me all the pictures everyone had posted, and kept saying, "See all these? How do I get Jesus on there?". I was so confused. Then she continued to point out her crocheted Jesus! (Told you she could do anything!)

Her name is Jennell Burton. She worked at the jewelry counter at K-Mart in Russell Springs for many many years, of course, until it closed. She absolutely loved meeting new people all the time, and I'm sure many remember her. If you don't, you're truly missing out.

She definitely keeps herself busy now, and wanted to share her work she had been doing! Maybe I'll learn to crochet one day soon, I sure won't have to google a "how to". Haha
