Homeplace on Green River 2020 Review "we took stock of where we had been, where we were, and where we were hoping to go and then, we charged forward." By Billy Joe Fudge There is a slogan, "hurry up and wait" which is often humorously applied to military operations where young men and women are roused from a deep sleep, hurriedly dressed and shod, rushed out of doors to only stand for extended periods of time in a cold, wind-driven rain. That my friends and neighbors is the year Twenty-twenty. During January and February, we at Homeplace were eagerly planning for our greatest Plow Day Spring Festival ever but then in late March we saw the Covid handwriting on the wall and decided to "hurry up and wait" till this demon passed us by. Well, it went by much more slowly than we ever imagined and before you know it, the Fall Heritage Festival met the same fate as Plow Day. However and although it seems as if we spent much of last year standing out in "a cold, wind-driven rain", in reality, we took stock of where we had been, where we were, and where we were hoping to go and then, we charged forward.
