Johnson picks up 2nd MSC XC Runner of the Week honor

Bowling Green, KY - Meredith Johnson has been selected as the Mid-South Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, conference officials announcedMonday.

Johnson finished first out of 66 runners at the Drake Creek's Scramble Saturday afternoon. She completed the 5k course in 19:01.9 to lead the Blue Raiders and secure her second meet win of the season.



The junior from Lewisburg, Ky. pulled away from the field to win by 12 seconds in the process of recording her sixth top-ten finish in her career. Johnson's performance led Lindsey Wilson to a second-place team finish at the meet.

Johnson earns her second runner of the week honor of her career.
