LWC Archery Opens Season at 3-D Championships By Christopher Coombs The Lindsey Wilson archery team is set to begin their 2020-2021 season at the 3-D Regional Championship in Barbourville, KY at 7:50amCT on Friday, October 2, 2020, and the Mid-South Conference 3-D Championship in Williamsburg, KY, on Saturday, October 3, 2020. The 3-D competition is an outdoor discipline where archers shoot at foam animals that are spread out on a course. The archers will shoot at each target and will be scored on how accurately they can hit the target. The regional championship on Friday will consist of teams from the surrounding region and includes most of the conference members participating in Saturday's event. At the MSC Championship on Saturday, individual shoot downs will begin at 8amCT, with Barebow Women and continue until NoonCT. Team rounds are slated to begin at 1pmCT. Last season, Lindsey Wilson finished runner-up at the 3D championships with 132 points. Cumberlands (KY) has won each of the previous three 3D championships since it became a conference sport in 2017. The Patriots scored 139 points. Pikeville, Kentucky Christian, Union, Campbellsville, and Bethel will also take part in this year's championship. The Blue Raiders are set to participate all day on Friday in Barbourville and all day on Saturday in Williamsburg.
