David Allen Dobson, 76, Summersville, KY (1943-2020) David Allen Dobson of Summersville passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. He was 76 years old. There will be graveside services for David Allen Dobson held at 2pmCT on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Leslie Jewell, Bro. Dennis Penick, and Bro. Greg Whitlow will be officiating. Due to risk of Covid-19, please practice social distancing. David Allen Dobson of Summersville, Kentucky, son of the late Louis Dobson and Carrie Lewis Dobson, was born on Friday, October 30, 1943 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at his home. He was 76 years, eight months, and nine days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Dobson was also a self-employed logger. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Susie Ann Creason Dobson of Summersville, having united in marriage on February 16, 1969. Other survivors include a son and daughter: Randall Dobson, and Shannon Dobson both of Summersville; two grandchildren: Levi Dobson, and Olivia Dobson both of Summersville; a brother: Donald Dobson of Georgetown; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
