ACHS Senior 2020: Thoughts and thanks from Jenna Rodgers

Thank you for everyone supporting us through this pandemic. Remember one thing... after the plague came the Renaissance.

By Jenna Rodgers

Ever since my 6th grade year I have had a board labeled ‘senior year’ with the following things pinned to it: the perfect prom dress, wildflower bouquet, senior baseball poses, DIY graduation caps, senior prank ideas, senior skip day activities, spirit week outfits, and the perfect gifts for graduation parties.

That’s the year that I started taking Senior pictures.

For seven years I’ve dreamed up the perfect plan for my last year of High School.

Little did I know that school was going to be canceled, that I was going to be in the back of an ambulance rushed to Louisville Hospital, and that my perfectly planned year was going to flash by so quickly.

But guess what, We are Class of 2020 strong! Life won’t be perfectly pinterest planned.

I know that things are tough, but we have so many people cheering us on: our teachers, students, coaches, bus drivers, lunch ladies, guardian angels, parents, siblings, etc.

We will get through this TOGETHER. We are not alone. We are Class of 2020 strong. I’ll say it one more time for the people in the back... WE ARE NOT ALONE. WE ARE CLASS OF 2020 STRONG.

- Jenna Mae Rodgers
Class of 2020 Adair County High School

PS: I love you. you’re not alone. You’re not forgotten. Life is what you make of it. If you need someone to talk to... I’m your girl. Message me am or pm. We’ll get through this... our life has just begun.

2020-04-20 - Adair County, KY - Photo from family collection.
Photographer Jenna Rodgers was in front of the camera for a change marking the celebration day of her ACHS 2020 Senior Prom, a time she should have been surrounded by classmates but for the Coronavirus which changed everything. Even with those changes, she is positive and grateful, and she has a message for her fellow students and everyone to remember.
