Postcards from LWC: Mikoto Yamada

By Sabine Eastham
International Student Program (ISP), Lindsey Wilson College

Mikoto Yamada was an exchange student that left the College early March due to COVID-19. Here are her answers as the series #postcardsfromLWC continues:

  • 1. What year will you be in 2020-2021 school year
    Answer: Junior

  • 2. Where are you from? City/country
    Answer: Japan/Tokyo

  • 3. Fun fact
Answer: I could make many friends who are from various countries around the world at Lindsey. For me, it was the first time to make friends who are from America and Europe, and I could now know new things about these different countries, so this is really worth it for me. And simply it was so fun to talk with new friends in English.

  • 4. What did you love most about your first year at LWC?
Answer: I loved people at Lindsey because they were always friendly and sweet. And I think that people at Lindsey are really earnest, so I really respect people around me.

  • 5. What is 1 thing you wish to do during the 2020-2021 school year
Answer: I wish I would still be going to LWC!!

  • 6. What is something you loved about ISP?
Answer: All people!! When I met ISP staff in August for the first time, they were so nice to me and I was relieved because I was very nervous to talk with new people at first. Moreover, ISP staff always helped me willingly without saying complaints when I went to the ISP house suddenly and asked them something.
