Lonice Richards, 81, Russell Springs, KY (1939-2020)

Lonice Richards of Russell Springs passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020, at her residence.

A religious service will be held at 1pmCT on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main St., Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Scott Eubank officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery Jamestown, KY.

Friends may visit at 11amCT on Tuesday at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.


Lonice was born in Russell Springs, KY on March 3, 1939, a daughter of the late Lola (Simpson) and Ores Dunbar.

Lonice is survived by
  • A daughter, Reba Richards, of Russell Springs, KY;
  • Three sons Ricky Richards, of Indianapolis, IN; Brent Richards, of Whiteland, IN; Steve Richards, of Stearns, KY;
  • A sister, Lois Bennett, of Louisville, KY.
  • Two brothers, Eris Dunbar, of Russell Springs, KY; Gary Dunbar, of Edinburg, IN;
  • Two special friends, Donna Perkins and Dawn Dunbar
  • Eight grandchildren
  • Twelve great grandchildren
  • Three great great grandchildren
  • A host of nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Hollis Richards, brother Ernest Dunbar, 2 sisters Linda Gaskins and Joanne Baker.

The family request memorial donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Donations can be made at the funeral home.
