LWC Swimming completes 1st day of competition at NAIA Championships

Knoxville, TN - The Lindsey Wilson men and women's swimming teams competed on the first day of NAIA National Swimming Championships with the men's team notching its first NAIA All-American honors at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.

The squad of James de Goede, Reece Kincaid, Ron Wolfart and Calvin Coetzee earned NAIA All-American honors with a third-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6 minutes and 47.18 seconds. The time bests Lindsey Wilson's previous school record.

The women's 800 free relay of Narjiss Bourbouh, Emma Phillips, Sarah Hahn and Jessica Macdonald finished in 8:10.09 for 13th place.

The Lindsey Wilson men and women's swimming teams are set to compete on Thursday with preliminary competition starting at 9amCT followed by the finals at 5pmCT at Allan Jones Aquatic Center, 2200 Andy Holt Ave SW, Knoxville, TN.
