LWC Indoor Track & Field at Depauw Tiger Small Invite

Greencastle, IN - The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's Indoor Track & Field team competed on Friday at the Depauw Tiger Small Invite on Friday at the Hollensteiner Track in Greencastle, Indiana.

The top finish of the day for Lindsey Wilson Men came from the Men's Distance Medley of Jordan Tucker, Caleb Watson, Noah Brown, and Levi Owens who crossed the finish line in first place with a time of 11:04.19, earning 10 team points.

For the women's team, the Blue Raiders saw their top finish of the day from the Distance Medley Relay of Macey Wilson, Dezare Jackson, Kirsten Crepps, and Laura Cuin-Casimiro who tallied in a second place finish with a time of 14:02.90, earning eight team points.



Austin Campbell secured the other top five finish for the Blue Raiders, as he earned second place in the Weight Throw with a launch of 14.69 meters, earning eight team points. Brandon Fields and Andrew Cronk finished 28th & 32nd respectively in the event.

Campbell scored two more team points in the Shot Put with a seventh place finishing throw of 13.12 meters. Fields and Cronk finished 20th & 30th respectively with their throws in the event.

In the 400 Meter Dash, Caleb Watson rolled in a sixth place finish with a time of 52.94, earning LWC three team points.

The One Mile Run saw five Blue Raiders compete, with Owens earning the top team time of 4:36.03 for an eighth place finish and two team points. Tucker finished the race in 15th, Brown came in 21st, Mason Stogsdill notched 27th place, and Harley Waters garnered 32nd place.

Five Lindsey Wilson athletes also took the track in the 800 Meter Run, with Tucker grabbing the top team time of 2:07.25 for eighth place and one team point. Austin Mattingly finished right behind Tucker in ninth place with a final time of 2:07.50. Owens crossed the finish line in 19th place, Waters in 23rd, and Stogsdill in 32nd.

In the 800 Meter Run, Meredith Johnson pulled in a third place finish with a time of 2:26.51, earning LWC six team points. Five other Blue Raiders raced in the event, with Jackson and Crepps finishing 12th & 13th respectively, Wilson garnering 16th place, and Sarah Burton and Roeder finished 18th & 19th respectively.

The 400 Meter Dash saw Shelby Helton-Henley race her way to a 12th place finish with a time of 1:10.02.

In the field, Malorie Carter earned Lindsey Wilson two team points when she placed seventh in the Weight Throw with a launch of 13.19 meters.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on Feb. 15 where they travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to compete in the UIndy Team Invite.
