Rains continue, flood watch tonight, high 53F It's currently 39F at the Adair County Mesonet station. Rain will continue today, with the possibility of a thunderstorm after 3pmCT. Expect a high temperature near 53F with northeast wind 8 to 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon. A flood watch will be in effect from this evening through Thursday morning, as an additional one to two inches of rain are possible across the region from late this afternoon through tonight. This rainfall after the soaking rains Tuesday may result in flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. The rainfall will also lead to rises on area creeks and streams. Rains will continue throughout tonight, with the possibility of a thunderstorm and gusty winds up to 21mph. Tonight's overnight low will be around 51F with east wind 7 to 9 mph becoming west after midnight. On Thursday, the chance of rain will drop to 50 percent, with cloudy skies and a high near 55F. West wind 7 to 9 mph. Thursday night will bring a 30% chance of rain or snow, as temperatures drop to the low 30s. It will be cloudy, with west wind 6 to 10 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph.
