CHS Beta club students advance to national competition

Campbellsville High School Beta Club members recently competed at the Kentucky Beta Convention and have now advanced to nationals.

The club brought home several awards from state convention, from talent to academics to service honors and more.



As a result, students have qualified to compete at the National Beta Convention this summer in Texas.

Winners at the state convention include the following.

In group talent, the CHS club placed fourth.

The group performed a number from "Into the Woods."

Gracyne Hash, a senior, placed fourth in solo, duo and trio talent.

In engineering, seniors Emily Rodgers and Gavin Johnson, sophomore Tayler Thompson and freshman Puspa Shah placed fifth.

In freshmen problem solving, Ronin Smith, Antaya Epps, Haylee Allen and Chase Hord placed fourth.

Johnson and Thompson placed second in apparel design.

Rodgers placed fifth in 3D design.

Allen, Shah and freshman Mikaela Scharbrough placed second in portfolio.

CHS seniors Zoe McAninch and Lauryn Agathen placed third in service learning.

McAninch and Thompson placed fourth in Division 1 jewelry.

CHS senior Haleigh Murphy placed second in mixed media.

Shah placed fifth in the speech and social studies categories.

All of the winners will advance to the national competition, which is set for June 15-18 in Fort Worth.

CHS teachers Lauren Bennett and Morgan Dalton are the Beta sponsors.
