All Day Sing and Dinner Too! By: Col. Carlis B. Wilson Tables Under Shade Trees In the mid to late forties there were some churches in Adair County which were known for having "All Day Singing and Dinner on The Ground. These events had good turn outs and were much enjoyed for their good singers and outstanding country food. I was very young back then and can't recall the locations or the names of the churches that were involved in these events. I do remember one of the churches had a long row of tables built under the shade trees to the right front of the church for serving the food.
