LWC Men's Soccer to host Southeastern and John Brown By Christopher Coombs The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team hosts Southeastern (FL) and John Brown (AR) in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round on Friday and Saturday, according to the national qualifiers and opening-round pairings released by the national office on Monday. Southeastern and John Brown will play on Friday at 3pmCT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY. The winner of the matchup will then play Lindsey Wilson on Saturday at 3pmCT with a trip to the NAIA National Championship final site in Irvine, California on the line. The No. 5-seeded Blue Raiders (13-3-1) received an automatic qualifying bid into the national championship field after winning the programs 14th Mid-South Conference Tournament title on Saturday. Lindsey Wilson is making its 26th all-time appearance at the national tournament and owns a 52-15-6 record. LWC has won nine national championships, last accomplishing the feat during the 2011 season. Southeastern (11-5-3) qualified for the national tournament as an at-large selection from the Sun Conference. They are making their 3rd appearance in the tournament and hold a 1-2-0 all-time record. John Brown (17-3-0) qualified for the national tournament as the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament Champion.
