Schools closed due to black ice in Adair and Green

Schools are closed today, Tuesday, November 12, 2019, in Adair and Green Counties. Taylor County Public Schools are also closed (not Campbellsville Independent).

Closure is due to black ice, dangerous road conditions, because of the severe change in weather overnight.

In Adair, Superintendent Pam Stephens said in a call announcement just after 5amCT, "Good morning, students. Yes, it's only November but roll over and go back to sleep." She said the concern is that overpasses and wet spots could cause issues on the roads this morning, especially for busses. Dr. Stephens said she looks forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, and have a great, safe day.
