LWC Women's XC finishes 1st at Patty Forgey Invitational

Rio Grande, OH - The Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team finished in first place today at the Patty Forgey Cross Country Invitational.

The Blue Raiders ended with 26 team points to finish in first in front of Asbury (Ky.) who totaled 56 points in second place.



Meredith Johnson led the Lindsey Wilson harriers with a second-place finish out of 49 competitors. She crossed the line with a time of 20 minutes and 56.93 seconds. Alice Lloyd's Carlee Salyers won the event in 20:45.76.

Macey Wilson and Laura Cuin-Casimiro finished 6th and 7th, respectively. Wilson finished in 22:11 and Cuin-Casimiro finished in 22:29. Kaylee Masden and Dezare Jackson finished 10th and 11th, with Masden finishing in 22:59, and Jackson finishing in 23:02. Kirsten Crepps finished in 16th at 23:34, Elsa Diaz finished in 28th at 25:23, and Kayla Roeder finished in 30th at 25:41.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Oct. 11 at the Jenna Strong Invitational in Wilmington, Ohio.
