Dry Conditions in Adair and Surrounding Counties By Mike Keltner, Adair County Emergency Management While in discussion with the National Weather Service (NWS) and Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan, in regard to the dry conditions of the county, it was decided to bring attention to the elevated risk of fire spread. The majority of Adair County remains out of the abnormally dry conditions indicated on the included drought monitor infographic and further information from the NWS expects the conditions to remain the same through the end of the week. Many counties around Adair are experiencing moderate drought conditions and have enacted local burn bans. Please use caution if you must burn in Adair County and consult with your local government if out of the county.
