By Sheriff Josh Brockman
Adair County Sheriff's Office

On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, the Adair County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop on a 1999 Maroon Chevrolet traveling on Jamestown Street.

In addition to the illegal narcotics, over $1,000 in cash was seized by deputies.

Arrested were:

  • Carla Perkins, 53, of Columbia, on charges of: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She also had an outstanding Warrant of Arrest from Adair District Court.

  • John Shelton, 49, of Columbia, on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All three were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by Chief Deputy Justin Cross and Deputy Chandler Staten.
