By Officer Adam Cravens
Columbia Police Department

On Saturday morning, July 13, 2019, Columbia Police Department Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries on Hudson Street between A1 Auto and Don Franklin Ford.

The accident occurred when a seventeen year old operator of a 2008 Mercury Mariner pulled out of A1 and into the path of a 2005 Dodge Caravan.

The Caravan was occupied by two adults, William Corbin and Alicia Burton, both of Columbia. There were also a total of ten juveniles with ages varying from two to fourteen in the van. Various parties were treated on scene by Adair EMS before being transferred to T.J. Health Columbia for further treatment. One was later transferred to UofL with non-life threatening injuries.

Sargent Gary Roy was the Investigating Officer. He was assisted on the scene by the Adair County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky State Police. The Columbia Fire Department also responded.
