ACSO: Two-vehicle accident on Jamestown Street, Columbia

On Monday, July 15, 2019, the Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to the junction of Gaston Avenue and Jamestown Street in Columbia for a call of a two-vehicle injury accident.

A preliminary investigation determined a 2006 Toyota Prius operated by Brenda K. Johnson of Illinois pulled out onto Jamestown Street from Gaston Avenue, directly into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe operated by Macy Chamness of Columbia.

Johnson and two juvenile passengers were transported to T.J. Health Columbia. Chamness also had two juvenile passengers, one of which was transported to T.J. Health Columbia by Adair County EMS.

The Adair County Sheriff's Office was assisted on scene by Adair County EMS, the Adair County Fire Department, Kentucky State Police, and Columbia City Police.

Deputy Derek Padgett is the investigating Officer.
