Molly Sullivan is KY Department of Agriculture intern

Molly Sullivan, daughter of Chad and Carol Sullivan, and a 2018 graduate of Taylor County High School, is the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) intern.

FRANKFORT (July 12, 2019) - Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA) intern Molly Sullivan of Taylor County grew up on a beef cattle farm and has always been interested in agriculture.

After competing in the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization Competition, Sullivan was inspired to learn more about the daily operations of the KDA. This summer, she is interning serving as an intern with the Division of Regulation and Inspection in the Office of Consumer and Environmental Protection.

"So far, my role here at the KDA has been a lot of learning about the different aspects of regulation and inspection," Sullivan said. "The KDA is involved in more ways than gas pumps and fair rides."

"A KDA internship provides opportunities for students to gain real-world work experience and possibly even enter a career in public service," Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles said. "I would like to thank Molly for joining us at the Department this summer and hope she learns valuable skills during her time with us."

In her spare time, Sullivan enjoys working at The White Dress of Lexington, a bridal shop, and bass fishing. She is the daughter of Chad and Carol Sullivan, and a 2018 graduate of Taylor County High School.
