Letter - what I do for Chigger bites and Poison Ivy In the laundry aisle, get a bar of Fels naptha soap. This is what I do for chigger bites. I use it on poison ivy, chiggers. It's only like a dollar a bar. And you can also make a homemade laundry soap out of it to wash your clothes to get them out. It's the only soap that will remove poison ivy from your clothes. That little thing I learned after living in the woods all these years. I just shave some off the bar and boil it on the stove top to make liquid soap and then wash my clothes. You can also add some borax and it will help too. You might try a little area of skin first to make sure you aren't sensitive just to be cautious. My grandmother used this soap been around forever. -- Marie Freeman This story was posted on 2019-07-12 08:45:05
