TCSO identifies deceased as Tom Curry

The following police report from the Taylor County Sheriff's Office comes via Larry Smith, general manager of the Big Dawg radio.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, the Taylor County Sheriff's Office received a call from a subject working on his fence on Smith Ridge Road. The subject stated thtat he had located a deceased person and believed it to be the missing person, Tom Curry.

Upon arrival, the Sheriff was lead down a fence row to the location of the deceased. Mr. Curry was approximately 400-500 yards from his home and approximately 100-150 yards from Smith Ridge Road. The deceased was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office by the Taylor County Coroner, Daniel Cook.

The Sheriff's Department will follow up the missing person case with a death investigation pending the findings of the State Medical Examiner's Office.
