LWC Men's outdoor track and field finishes fourth

Williamsburg, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's outdoor track and field earned a fourth-place finish at the UC Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Men's track and field tallied 78 team points along with three first-place finishes and two A-cut Standards.

The team of Holt Keeling, Christian Whitehead, Kevin Hallmon and Christian Davis earned an A-cut standard in the 4x100 meter relay finishing in second place with a time of 41.51 seconds.


In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Daniel Fankunle, Christian Whitehead, Devon Hall and Jaylun Wallace earned a second place finish with a time of 3:19.57.

Whitehead added an individual first-place finish in the 400- meter hurdles with a time of 55.08 seconds.

In the 200 meters, Holt Keeling led the way for the Blue Raiders finishing in eighth place with a time of 21.83 seconds. Wallace added in with a 15th place finish in 22.46 seconds, while Davis took 21st with a time of 22.75 seconds.

Davis added an 11th place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.11 seconds while Keeling captured 13th place at 13.15 seconds.

Josh Murdock took 20th place in the 800 meters run with a time of 2:04.25. Noah Brown finished with a time of 2:04.83 and Aaron Mattingly coming in at 2:05.09 to finish right behind Murdock.

In the men's field events, Pierre Ezanno captured an A-cut standard and first-place victory in the triple jump with a jump of 14.86 meters. Damon Durrah took 11th place with a 12.33-meter jump.

Ezanno added an eighth-place finish in the long jump, with a 6.39-meter jump.

Austin Campbel finished in first-place for the shot put, with a throw of 14.43 meters. Campbell added a fifth-place finish in the discus event with a toss of 40.15 meters. Timothy Higgs added in with a throw of 38.40 meters to finish in ninth.

The Lindsey Wilson men's outdoor track and field team is back in action on April 26-27 for the Mid-South Conference Championships in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
