Haskin 'Hack' Rowe, 83, Adair County, KY (1935-2019) He was a member of the Adair County High School Boys' Basketball 1954 & 1955 state tournament teams, receiving numerous awards and induction into the Adair County Basketball Hall of Fame. He was a United States Army Veteran. Haskin Allen "Hack" Rowe, 83, of Columbia, died Monday, April 8, 2019 in Elizabethtown. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 2pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Dr. John Hatton & Bro. Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is after 10amCT Thursday. He was born April 18, 1935 in Adair County to the late Owen & Icy Janes Rowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ceola Rowe Lay; two brothers, Osby Rowe & Bobby Rowe; and one grandson, Brandon Brown. Hack was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Columbia United Methodist Church. He enjoyed tennis and basketball, where he was a member of the Adair County High School Boys' Basketball 1954 & 1955 state tournament teams, receiving numerous awards and was inducted into the Adair County Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the owner of the Miller Hotel and previous owner of H & H Cab service. Survivors Include: His Wife - Cynthia Ashby Rowe of Columbia Four Daughters - Mindy Rowe (Eric) Ward of Maryland, Jill Rowe of Bowling Green, Pam (Ralph) Shearer of Columbia & Audrey (Gary) Bowman of Mt. Washington Two Sons - Shannon Rowe of Columbia & Chuck (Carla) Satterfield of Louisville Two Grandchildren - Ryan Shrage of Louisville & Matt Downen of Columbia Two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & friends also survive Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
