CU to hold final noon organ series concert, Tue 9 Apr 2019 By Joan C. McKinney Campbellsville, KY -. - Campbellsville University's final Noon Organ Recital will be on Tuesday, April 9 from 12:20pmET until 12:50pmET in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, KY. Everyone is invited to attend the free event. The program will be the annual organ and instruments concert with faculty from the School of Music and Dr. Wesley Roberts, professor of music, as organist. Dr. Lisa McArthur, professor of music, on flute; Juliana Moura, assistant professor of music, soprano; and Dr. David Junker, a visiting scholar in the School of Music, baritone, will be in performance with Roberts. McArthur teaches flute, music theory and graduate courses in music history and music education. She has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music (SUNY Potsdam College), Master's degrees in Performance and Music Theory from Kent State University and a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Kentucky. She performs, teaches and adjudicates regularly throughout Kentucky and surrounding states and is the director of the award-winning Quarteto Gracioso (flute quartet). Her arrangements for flute ensemble are published by Falls House Press. Juliana Moura is assistant professor of music (voice) at Campbellsville University. She holds a Master of Arts in Music from Campbellsville University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Louisville. Moura is enrolled in the Doctor of Musical Arts program at the University of Kentucky. She has sung throughout Kentucky, including a recent performance as soloist in Mozart's "Requiem" in Louisville, and in New York City in a performance of Villa-Lobos' "Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5." International performances have been given in her native Brazil, Paraguay and China. Junker is a visiting professor of music at Campbellsville University for the 2018-19 year. While at Campbellsville University, he is teaching conducting and directing the Men's Chorus. He is a member of the music faculty at the Universidade Federal de Brasilia. Roberts is professor of music at Campbellsville University, where he teaches courses in piano, organ and musicology, and has been a member of the faculty since 1982. His service at the university has included the supervision of over 100 solo undergraduate and graduate piano and organ recitals, as well as eight master's theses, serving as university organist, establishing and serving as the first director of the University Orchestra and co-founding the institution's Professional Development program.
