Doris Jean Hadley, 83, Taylor County, KY (1935-2019) She loved quilting and also enjoyed horse racing, going to the Kentucky Derby and UK basketball. Doris Jean Hadley of Campbellsville, died Thursday, April 4, 2019 in Campbellsville at age 83. Her services will be held at 12noonCT/1pmET Monday, April 8, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. J. Alvin Hardy. Visitation is from 10am-1pmET Monday, April 8, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. She was the daughter of the late Nathan Rice and Mary Perkins Rice, was born December 1, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She united in marriage to James Hadley and he preceded her in death in 1996. Doris Jean loved quilting and also enjoyed horse racing, going to the Kentucky Derby and UK basketball. She is survived by two sons: Billy Dudgeon and wife, Peggy and Charles "Chat" Humphress and wife, Debbie of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Christie Dudgeon, Amanda Vines, Jimmy Dudgeon, April Dudgeon, Jason Humphress, Jennifer Neagle, Jessica Watson, Stacey Porter and Michael Dudgeon; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Rice of Morganton, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald Dudgeon and one sister, Christine Carney. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
