ACHS Academic Team rocks Governor's Cup!

FPS Team advances to International Championships in June at the University of Massachusetts.

The ACHS Academic Team returned triumphant once again the 2019 Governor's Cup State Finals this weekend. In a field of teams converging for the elite State Championships, in the final standings, ACHS finished the event as a Top 10 overall team in the state of Kentucky.

The Future Problem Solving Team finished 4th overall in their event. Individuals Chris Stuchell and Trevor Smith finish 2nd in Composition overall and 6th in General Knowledge respectively. FPS team members were Chris Stuchell, Arabella Caldwell, Amber Loy, and Christina Kessinger.

With the FPS team's finish at State, this earned them a right to advance to the International Championships in June where the team finished 8th in the world last year. That event will be held on the campus of the University of Massachusetts.

The Governor's Cup event this weekend was held at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky. Team members in attendance were Trevor Smith, Chris Stuchell, Samuel Willis, Arabella Caldwell, Christina Kessinger, Maddie Harmon, Keaton Coomer, Alex Godsey, Elizabeth Rexroat, Hayden Hancock. and Amber Loy.
