The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team fell to Campbellsville 70-59 in the Battle of Highway 55 at Biggers Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Raiders continue MSC play on Thursday when they travel to Pikeville (KY) to take on the Bears at 5pmCT.

Lindsey Wilson (16-7, 6-3 MSC) finished the game shooting just 38.5 percent from the floor as the Tigers (23-2, 9-0 MSC) shot an efficient 46.4 percent for the game. Campbellsville held a slight 37-32 rebounding advantage as both squads managed nine steals.

J'Nayah Hall and Reagan Turner both finished with a game-high with 20 points as they added three and four steals respectively. Molly Stone added a game-high eight rebounds.

Lindsey Wilson would lead for much of the first frame as they were able to take their largest lead at 11-7 with four minutes to play. A scoring drought by LWC to close out the quarter and a buzzer beater three by Campbellsville gave the Tigers a 12-11 advantage after ten minutes of play.

Campbellsville continued to build their lead as Lindsey Wilson's drought continued until Turner knocked down a contested three with nearly four minutes gone in the second quarter. Before the made basket, Campbellsville opened the second frame on a 9-0 run.

Trailing 24-14 with just under five to play in the first half, the Blue Raiders mounted a run of their own. Hall spearheaded the 9-4 scoring spurt with seven points over the next 3:25 of action but Campbellsville would take a 30-25 lead into halftime.

Lindsey Wilson shot an even 40 percent in the half while limiting the Tigers to just 36.4 percent from the floor but Campbellsville managed eight more attempts than LWC. The Tigers scored 10 points off of 11 Blue Raider turnovers in the half while adding 18 points in the paint to Lindsey Wilson's eight.

Turner opened the second half scoring LWC first six points, as she trimmed the CU lead to four, at 36-31 but the Tigers would respond pushing their lead to 11 at 43-32 with 3:31 on the clock. Lindsey Wilson outscored Campbellsville 9-8 over the final minutes of the quarter, to trail by 10 with 10 minutes to play.

After trading baskets over the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter the Tigers were able to keep ahold of their 10 point advantage. Campbellsville would push their lead to as many as 13 over the waning minutes of the game before picking up a 70-59 victory over the Blue Raiders.
