Comment: pay checks should be stopped from top down By Linda Waggener Just my thoughts on the national news about the government shutdown relief for three weeks - I think it would be more right for the paychecks to be withheld from the top down next time our leaders use this option. In the business world, should any company/organization in this country get away with withholding paychecks from lower level workers for a month while commanding they come to work? The next leader to keep drawing his/her own pay and full benefits package - while pointing a finger of blame at someone else as a reason they can't do their work - should simply surrender his/her own paycheck and go without it until they negotiate a way to keep work going. I'm no longer accepting blamers in any party who name someone else, or another party, as the reason they can't do the work of running our country. Just my thoughts. Responses are welcome so long as no single person nor party is named/blamed - pointing fingers will only keep us going in circles. May God Bless the United States of America. - LW This story was posted on 2019-01-28 09:26:10
