Bob Porter, 86, Russell County, KY (1932-2019) Robert C. (Bob) Porter, 86, of Russell Springs passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT on Friday January 18, 2019 with Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Friends may visit on Friday from 11-1 at the church. Burial in the Russell County Memorial Gardens in Russell Springs, with full Military Honors by the Russell County Honor Squad. He was born in Russell Springs, KY on May 14, 1932, a son of the late Elizabeth (Ham) and Chester E. Porter. Bob was a longtime Insurance Manager in Russell Springs, as well as serving in the U.S. Army. He was married 63 yrs to Dorothy (Wawrzenski) Porter of Russell Springs, KY. He is also survived by Daughter Stephanie Porter Granddaughters Maya and Evangeline Porter. His parents precede him in death. Family request memorial donations to the Russell County Homemakers Scholarship Fund or the Jamestown Lions Club and can be made at the church.
