Letter: Glad to see cardboard instead of styrofoam

Yvonne Kolbenschlag writes:
AND - it looks as if the to-go box is cardboard, not STYROFOAM which does not decompose for about 500 years. Reheating in a microwave may give harmful rays to food and liquids therein, I have heard, but we can't see or taste the harmful rays, so I don't know if that is true. Cardboard, if not messed up, can be recycled.

I appreciate restaurants that do not use STYROFOAM. --Yvonne
