2018 Top Stories - Paz-Holley Project, home for a dozen

In the blinking of an eye on October 13, 2017, five young Adair County children became homeless when their mother was murdered and their father was taken to jail. Thanks to their aunt and uncle who already had five children of their own, the little Paz children now have the name Paz Holley, and with the help of hundreds of donors, they are going to have a home to fit the size of the family of 12 by Thanksgiving 2018.

The Paz-Holley Project drew the region together as individuals, churches and businesses gave, and then gave more, to help five orphaned children and the family of seven that adopted them have a home large enough to hold them all comfortably. The story unfolds at the following links:

The mother is killed - Linda Jane Paz Holley, 25, Adair County, KY (1992-2017)

Father charged - 31-year-old Reuban Sebastian Paz of Columbia, KY was arrested

Fundraiser begins to help the family of 12 have a right-sized home

Giving is expanding, home purchase goal is on track

The Goal is Met! The family will be home before Thanksgiving!

Family moves in, open house and blessings of the family and the home held early
