High 38F, Winter weather advisory from 7pmCT tonight It should be cloudy today, with a high near 38F and northeast wind 8 to 10 mph. Starting this evening, wet snow is expected in the area, with brief transitions to sleet or freezing rain possible early Sunday morning. Total snow and sleet accumulations of around 1 inch are expected, with localized amounts of 2 inches possible. The overnight low should be around 30F. The best chance for accumulating snow and sleet will be from Midnight to 8amCT on Sunday. After 9amCT on Sunday, a shift from snow to rain is likely before 11am. Expect a high near 40F. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. The National Weather Service says that there is the possibility that a strong storm system could impact the region by late next week, bringing widespread rain.
