Scattered snow showers today, high near 33F

It's currently 31F at the Adair County Mesonet station. Expect scattered snow showers today, mainly before 2pmCT. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 33F. West wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.

As temperatures fall below freezing, some minor snow accumulations may lead to slick road conditions this morning, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Tonight will be colder, with mostly clear skies and a low around 24F. South wind 3 to 6 mph.

Thursday should be partly sunny, with a high near 44F. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Not appreciating snowflakes on nose and eyelashes/whiskers

Julie Andrews can sing all she wants to about "Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes..." but Blue the Cat says that is not one of his favorite things. Columbia awoke to a light snowfall that covered the ground with up to half an inch in some places, but roads were all passable and school was held on schedule.
