Ornament decoration at ISP House

By Gabe Roberts and Sabine Eastham

On November 28th, over 40 students gathered at the ISP House (International Student Program) on the Lindsey Wilson College campus, to decorate Christmas ornaments, enjoy Christmas treats, and take a study break from finals.

Host parents Veronica and Trace Klinglesmith came with an abundance of supplies and decorating ideas and set up shop. Domestic and international students, as well as staff, let their creative juices flow and decorated the most beautiful ornaments and presents- of course we can not show any pictures of those as some lucky ones will find it under their Christmas tree soon.

It was a peaceful and happy gathering, as all listened to Christmas music, drank hot cider and chocoloate and "munched" on cookies. It was a surpirse for many to see snowmen and Christmas trees on cookies!! Students learned that in America, "Santa" is bringing the presents--even as the author begs to differ, as everyone knows (at least in Germany) that the Christmas Angel is taking care of business there!!

However, as all of our students have been high on the Naughty/Nice Meter (in the positive direction!), they got to check out their stockings.... A beautiful picture as we had 39 different stockings (as many countries as are currently represented at LWC).
