Windy, with highs in the mid-30's

It's currently 35F at the Adair County Mesonet station. There is a chance of rain and snow showers before 10amCT today, then a chance of drizzle between 10amCT and noon. Expect cloudy skies, with a high near 36. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 24F. West wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a wind advisory for most of central Kentucky through NoonCT today, with strongest gusts expected this morning from the west-southwest, up to 45 mph. Winds should gradually diminishing by midday.

Gusty winds can cause smaller trees to uproot along with limbs and branches to snap off trees. In addition, the cold air rushing into the region will bring wind chills down to the low to mid 20s. One other potential impact could be with any stronger showers Monday morning, as a transition to a snow shower could combine with the winds to produce much lower visibilities in the mid to late morning hours.
