Mrs. Newell’s Class Donates Stockings Mrs. Newell's homeroom class at Adair County Elementary School donated stockings filled with toys they would want to receive if they were in the hospital during the holidays. The stockings will be going to Norton Children's Hospital through Kayla's Rising Above Childhood Cancer Fund. They also including handmade cards for the kids who will be receiving the stockings. The students received a copy of the book Kadee's Hope to have as a class gift for their donations. Kayla Garrison Jones spoke to the class on her long-term goals to become a nurse researcher in pediatric oncology. The message to the class was, "Whatever career you decide to do, find a way to help someone in need." Kayla said, "It is so refreshing to see kids giving back during the holidays."
