Westlake name will become a thing of the past

Mayor Pam Hoots said the City Council voted to enter into the lengthy process to officially change the name of Westlake Drive to something new at a future date.

The street name 'Westlake' conjures of memories of the old Hospital and the debt taxpayers have had to carry to take care of it.

Thankfully, the hospital tax will be ending in a couple of years and it may be good to put the street name to bed along with it.
