KELC releases April 2023 Unemployment Report From Mike Clark/Kim Saylor Brannock Frankfort, KY - Kentucky's seasonally adjusted preliminary April 2023 unemployment rate was 3.7%, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics (KYSTATS), an agency within the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet (KELC). The preliminary April 2023 jobless rate was down 0.1 percentage points from March 2023 and was down 0.1 percentage points from the 3.8% recorded for the state one year ago. The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for April 2023 was 3.4%, which was down 0.1 percentage points from March 2023, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Taylor Co. Schools awarded $8K grant to expand adult education Campbellsville, KY - Taylor County Board of Education is a 2023 Adult Literacy grant award recipient.
