According to their website, they have over 150,000 libraries in 120 countries with over 300 million books shared. Letter: Payroll tax Ann Pearson writes: I don't think those of us who live in Adair should have to pay the county to allow us to work here. I understand when you work in another county but not in your own. We still haven't heard how much longer we have to pay the "hospital tax". This doesn't need to turn into one of those things that never ends. Ann, thank you for joining the voices discussing the pros and cons of a new tax for Adair Countians. The "hospital tax" is due to end on December 31, 2025. There are questions about loans that were taken out by the county, however, that may be tied to the hospital bankruptcy.
