Phillip Coffey - Beam Of Son-Shine

Beam Of Son-Shine by Phillip Coffey
All you good people among us on the right, left or 'middle of the road-ers'
Just do whatever is necessary to make correct choices - totally selfless in all matters.
Try to see the small and large picture - not troubling or causing harm to one another.
Don't give a crap about your political position - love to all that are found mingled in it.

Evil cannot overcome us if we hold each other together, not seeking greed - just the Master.
Flimsy excuses that include discrimination against race or religion - never following misogynistic politician
Give me freedom of choice to only making harmless decisions not eradication of thoughtful creations.
Always a beam of son-shine hovering protecting us from the shadow of immense darkness.

Letter: Elected Officials

James Roberts writes:

I think we should paying closer attention to the people that are vying for our votes on Election Day. We need to be diligent as to who or whom is financially supporting these people and what there ultimate agenda is.

We need local people who are supported by not only themselves but local people. We don't need someone in office that are supported by organizations in Frankfort or otherwise. These groups or organizations only want to support individuals so they can control them if they are elected. We need to be diligent and vote. Just my opinion, --James

ACHS graduate's college research predicted Ukraine

Monmouth, IL - Less than a year after he had graduated from Adair County High School in 2018, C.J. Bonifer started to study a region of the world that wound up dominating the news in 2022.

Bonifer is now a senior at Monmouth College, poised to graduate on May 15, 2022, from the liberal arts college in west-central Illinois. An independent research project that he completed three years ago proved to be an accurate glimpse into the future, although slightly off geographically.

As a freshman, Bonifer worked on a project under the guidance of former communication studies professor Robert Hinck. Titled "Russian Media Appeals in the Baltic States," it made the observation that signs were pointing to the distinct possibility of Russian military aggression in the region.

"Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Baltic States - Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia - have been at the forefront of Russian attention and coordinated media attacks," wrote Bonifer at the time. "This series of events have not been highly publicized by U.S. media outlets, so research showing these actions is ever important."
