TJRH: Contrast Media availability Q&A

By Stacey Biggs

Lockdown related to the current COVID-19 surge in Shanghai, China, have caused a significant global shortage of Omnipaque products - the intravenous contrast that is used in procedures such as CT scans, angiograms, cardiac catheterizations, MRIs, and more. The shortage is expected to last several weeks, and likely into the summer months.

Hospitals and healthcare organizations worldwide are managing the effects of the shortage and the impact to patient care.

The T.J. Regional Health Supply Chain and Pharmacy teams are working hard to mitigate the issue by prioritizing the use of contrast currently in inventory to ensure that it is used most efficiently and for the patients who have the most critical need. Additionally, they are maximizing efforts to acquire additional inventory from manufacturers and other alternative sources.

Letter: Murals around town

Joe Hare writes:
In MHO, a mural on the Campbellsville Street and Burksville Street side of the old courthouse sure would be a place viewed by many, locals as well as folks from "off". Plus it sure would help the looks of the building.

Election Days

By Matt Pendleton

Election days have begun! Please go vote Adair county! Today, tomorrow, and Saturday, as well as next Tuesday are Elections Days. Voting is the only way the MAJORITY of the population will get the representation we deserve.

And pay attention to campaign mailers, they are not always what they seem. It's always good to know who is paying for the ad. That's why it's required by election laws to include on the ad, who paid for it.
