Organizer says petition is not to close hospital or to cause anyone to lose job or to stop the hospital sale; it is to give the people the chance to vote. Vicky Pike stresses that one does not have to have voted in the last Presidential Election to be a valid signer of the petition. Checkers will be able to validate correct voting precincts at the meeting, Pike adds.

By Victoria Pike
