By Mike Watson

Author of Adair County, KY Histories

Unknown to most Americans, but certainly not to Adair Countians, there is yet another reason to be proud. Dakota Meyer: People like him keep us free

Linda Grigsby writes:
Just want to say how proud I am of Dakota. I don't know him personally but all Americans should be proud.

It's people like him who allow us to be free.

I can't imagine what his and many, many other Americans' experiences have been like.

We may have taken for granted that someone else's son, daughter, husband, wife, sister, brother or friend are fighting for us, as a nation.

God bless him and all his "brothers" for what they do. Linda Grigsby
Thanks, Linda Grigsby, for sharing the emotions of yesterday. CM extends an invitation to anyone, anywhere, to send letters about their experience while watching the Medal of Honor Ceremony on September 15, 2011. Send using anyContact/Submit button on this site.
