Remembers words of wisdom from the Mr. Vaughns

David Coomer writes:
I do believe the picture was taken at Reed Bros. Insurance. My mom, Sharon Coomer, used to have a desk up in the front of the office near that old safe. I had the pleasure of getting off of the school bus and spending some afternoons there. I had to walk up to Dr. Nell's office for allergy shots! After the inoculation, I would be afforded the opportunity to visit Young and Wilson's for a Dr. Pepper and a candy bar. One of the "Mr. Vaughans" always had some words of wisdom for a young lad. - David Coomer

Wonders why Westlake is being helped

Comments re article 46886 Westake gets 400000 loan Court goes noteRick Caldwell writes:
Why are our tax dollars being giving to Westlake. We will never see that money back. - Rick Caldwell
Rick Caldwell, thanks for voicing you opinion. I think you're dead wrong on this one. We'll know in 90 days, when all the money is due to be paid back - or not. We'll know when the county's hospital is saved - or not. And we'll know when the $1 million a month payroll is saved - or not. And we'll know each time another life is saved because Westlake Regional Hospital is here when Rick Caldwell and his family or Ed Waggener and his family desperately needs it - or not. Write again to tell me you told us so, if you're right - or just to tell us you were wrong, if, as I hope is the case, you are. -ED WAGGENER.

Coach's Critique: I'm so proud of Ashley for making the All Conference team. She had told me that morning her goal was to be in the top five.
