Thank you from the first 2025 L & T tour From Mike Watson and Dave Thomas A big 'thank you' to those intrepid souls who braved the possible falling-weather to come out for the first Lanterns & Tombstones Tour of 2025 at the Columbia Cemetery. With the recent heavy rainfall we were unsure if we could forge ahead without getting wet, or worse. However, with a bit of Divine intervention, we were able to push on, and did not have any ill effects. Over 30 great people came to hear a bit of history and lore of the cemetery and biographical notes on some of the permanent residents of the "silent city' in near-downtown Columbia. Dave and I were pleased with the turnout, the better-than-hoped-for weather, and more. Being a cloudy, dreary evening, photos were few and far between, as well as dark and brooding. We hope to see you all, and more, on May 2nd at Bearwallow Cemetery, on highway 206, at 7pmCT. 2025-04-05 12:03:31 | Comments | Printable version
